Pick a date

Take it all inside
"If it's too dark, cold or icy outside, run on a treadmill and take advantage of group cycling classes," says Cleveland. Most athletes swim inside all year long, so find an indoor pool and you'll be set.
Prioritize
"Focus on bike skills, because that's where you'll spend most of your time during a tri," says Cleveland. "But do all three activities each week and give extra attention to your weakest sport."
